IT’S MYSTERY AND SUSPENSE MONTH AT THE BOOKSTORE
For the month of October the Specials Cart will feature mystery and suspense hardcover books especially priced from $.50 to $1.00. Coming in November the arts and crafts books will be on sale.
All paperback books originally priced over $10.00 will have a resale price of $1.00. Included in this price are paperback cookbooks, travel, crafts and all other non- fiction are priced.
NO HOLDS PLEASE
Please do not hold any books for patrons. We don’t have the space or the staff to perform that service.
ADOPT A GENRE
Volunteers are encouraged to adopt a genre or section of the bookstore. I will label it your domain and give you an honorary title. You will be in charge of stocking, pricing and promoting your area.
We have a new volunteer and a returnee. Marilyn works on Monday afternoons. Don who was the previous coordinator has returned as a volunteer on Monday evenings.
The Headmistress in charge of the children’s section is Carol and she is available for consultation on Monday and Friday afternoons. Please visit with her or leave her notes if you have suggestions for her.
The Headmistress in charge with overseeing the Trade Paperback section is June. She is available for consultation on Thursday evenings. Feel free to let her know what you think.
The Bookstore does not accept water damaged books, books that are discolored from mold and have a strong moldy smell. Remember the volunteers that sort the books have sensitive noses and lungs. So, let’s keep their lungs clear.
THE TRAINS HAVE LEFT THE LIBRARY
We have sold the collection of train video tapes, to a train enthusiasts club. We thank them for their donation and hope they have many happy viewing hours.
