Friends of the Ferndale Library is a nonprofit organization incorporated in the state of Michigan, with 501c3 tax-deductible status. Membership meetings are held on the third Monday of every month at 6:30 pm at the Ferndale Area District Library and on Zoom.

What do the Friends of the Ferndale Library Do?

  • We sponsor cultural, artistic and educational programs, and special events at the library
  • We sell donated books and DVDs items in the Friends Bookstore
  • We help fund special collections and library services

What can you do to help the Friends?

  • Volunteer your time to help us plan, organize and make our programs run smoothly
  • Volunteer your time to help us publicize our events and find new members and volunteers
  • Contribute money by signing up for a yearly Friends membership
  • Help us staff the Friends bookstore

What do you get in return?

  • The satisfaction of knowing that you have contributed to the lives of Ferndale residents by providing more options for their enjoyment of culture, arts, literature and information.
