Everybody who uses the library is a friend. Some of us have come together to go even further in supporting our library’s mission of serving those who live and work in Ferndale, by providing the best possible information, entertainment, arts and culture.

We welcome you to join us. There are no membership dues, and no time commitments. Click here to fill out a form online.

Other ways to get involved:

  • Follow us on Facebook: facebook.com/FerndaleLibraryFriends
  • Attend library events. Learn about upcoming events by signing up for the library’s e-newsletter: www.fadl.org/e-newsletter
  • Shop at the Friends bookstore. Most books are $1 or less. You can shop during normal library hours.
  • Donate books for the bookstore. The store is the main source of income for the Friends and is fully stocked by donations. All items should be in like new condition and can be dropped off on the cart outside the bookstore during normal library hours.
  • Purchase Friends swag. We have some awesome T-shirts, onesies and canvas bags that you can find in the bookstore or online at ferndalefriends.org/shop/
  • Volunteer for fundraising events or in the bookstore.
  • Join the Friends board. We currently have open board positions and would love to have more community members join us.
  • Attend a Friends meeting? We love seeing new faces and hearing new ideas. We meet the third Monday of every month at 6:30pm at the library. Or email us for the Zoom link.
